Natural, DIY Kitchen and Bath Cleaner
*1.5 C White Vinegar
*1 tsp liquid castile soap
*15 Drops Grapefruit seed extract
*10 Drops Tea Tree Oil, 10 drops lemon oil, and 5 drops peppermint oil (or 25 drops of your favorite essential oil)
Fill the rest of the way with water.
I use this in place of Lysol spray cleaner to use in my kitchen and bath, places where disinfecting is important. For cleaning up things like raw chicken, I follow this cleaner with DIY Disinfecting Spray. I like these oils due to their known disinfectant abilities against bacteria, viruses and fungi.

DIY Window and Surface Cleaner
*1 C White Vinegar
*1/2 C Alcohol
*10-15 Drops Lemon Oil
*2 C water
I use this a general glass and surface cleaner for cleaning in all the less germy areas of my home. Alcohol and vinegar are great multipurpose cleaners but this cleaner doesn't have the powerful disinfecting property of the Kitchen and Bath cleaner.
DIY Natural Air Freshener
*1 ounce rubbing alcohol or vodka
*10-15 drops pure essential oil (feel free to use more if needed)
* 1 Cup Water
This recipe has replaced air freshener sprays in my bathrooms and cars, and FABREEZE for my furniture and anything else that might need a little freshened-up. For tough smells, add 5 drops tea tree oil or 10 drops GSE to help kill off any mold or bacteria that might be contributing.
DIY Disinfectant Spray
*1 Cups water
*1/4 C rubbing alcohol or vodka
*either 20 drops thieves oil or 20 drops tea tree oil
*(opt) 20 drops Grapefruit seed extract
(opt) additional 5-10 drops essential oil like lemon for fragrance.
I love this spray! It's a great air and surface sanitizer. Tea tree oil is highly anti-septic by itself and Grapefruit seed extract is known to kill more than 800 types of viruses and bacteria and 100 types of fungus, and to date, none have grown resistant to grapefruit seed extract (which you cannot say for chemical cleaners!)
Put this spray in your car, purse, and children's backpacks to use as a natural alternative to hand sanitizer. Love it!
DIY Tub and Tile Cleaner
Oh, my trusty tub and tile cleaner. This is another cleaner I thought I'd have a tough time parting with. But, once I gave this DIY cleaner a shot, I knew I'd never need to go back to my old bleachy cleaner again.
To make it, just combine the following in a squirt bottle:
*1 2/3 C baking soda
*1/2 C Liquid Castile soap
*2 TBSP vinegar
*1/2 C Water
*5 Drops Tea Tree Oil
*5 Drops lemon essential oil
This recipe doesn't contain synthetic emulsifiers so you'll need to shake the bottle well before each use.
